the view from my balcony…
[Mike Muir]
What’s he saying?
Yeah…just…a little…closer…
What’s he doing?
It was, I know, by the corner…yeah
Sitting in the darkness…yeah
I didn’t see it, but I know
It tries to hide sometimes, he he he
But it can’t fool me…no
Because I had this thing, it’s the way I see
The way I see when my eyes are closed
A conscenception of misconception
It’s really quite, shall we say…
The really beautiful thing!
This is certain things that I’ve come to find
In my communications that never existed
Certain understandings that I’ve come to realize…yeah
But I don’t believe it…no
Not for second!
It wasn’t really truthful in the ways that I, that I, that I, that…
They’re here right now…yeah
I wasn’t meant to feel this…
I wasn’t meant to feel this…
I wasn’t meant to feel this way
I wasn’t meant to feel this…
…
Counting on nothing…………Uuuuuuuh…
The numbers get higher………Ai ai ai ai ai…
Blinded by reason…………..Uuuh ah uuuh ah…
You’re asleep at the wheel…..Yeeeeeea…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Confused understanding………
With a slip…for the hold…..Ai ai ai ai ai…
Squeeze past the pressure……
You’re asleep at the wheel…..
A magical moment
Is it…too much of a good thing
Recycled in memory
Was it…too much of a good thing
Why can’t you remember
Is it…too much of a good thing
Preserved in its danger
You’re all asleep at the wheel…
Blank stare and a whisper, blank stare and a whisper
But who are the judges, who are you judging?
I thought you’d be different, I thought you’d be different
You’re all asleep at the wheel, you’re asleep at the wheel
A special assignment
Is it…too much of a good thing
Unlocked under pressure
Was it…too much of a good thing
Confined unforgiveness
Is it…too much of a good thing
A new kind of danger
You’re all asleep at the wheel…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Hope in revision……………Uuuuuuuh…
Slight miscalculation……….Ai ai ai ai ai…
It all goes in stages……….Uuuh ah uuuh ah…
You’re asleep at the wheel…..Yeeeeeea…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai…
A blank stare and a whisper….
I thought you were different…
But who are you judging……..
I thought you were different…
You’re asleep at the wheel…
Paul Graham writes some of the best essays i have ever read. And this most recent one explains why the once all powerful Microsoft is fading out of the picture.
http://www.paulgraham.com/microsoft.html
My favorite quote from the essay “Microsoft’s biggest weakness is that they still don’t realize how much they suck.” .
Who would have thought? .. Korn and unplugged in one sentence. The loud and aggressive Korn getting so quite.
This is undoubtedly one of the best MTV unplugged perfomances I have seen so far. Featuring some of there all time greatest hits ever like . Blind . Freak on a leash, got the life .etc
The show also feature guest appearance from Evanescence Amy Lee on the song Freak on a leash. The “the cure” in blended version of Korn’s Make me Bad and The Cure’s In between days. This for me was the highlight of the whole event. Overall all the songs were very different and very nice.
There was also some very interesting instruments played on stage like cellos, trombones, and stuff u don’t see everyday like saws, cimbassos.. and the ultra rare the Benjamin Franklin-invented glass harmonica( in the song falling away from me). And the Japanese taiko drummers (in the song throw me away) really put the icing on the cake.
In the show John Davis confessed that it was the most talking he have ever done in a event. He also said that playing with the great band “The Cure” was a dream come true and that they were the soundtrack of his life and it got him through high school.
Amy also made a similar comment at the end of her performance saying Korn means to her, what The Cure means to John Davis.
It’s a Must See to all Korn fans out there

Dear PHP developers,
To my knowledge we have an abundace of PHP developers in the country, i my self have been coding PHP for the last 2 years. I am sure i wouldnt be wrong to say we have more PHP users than LINUX users in our community. We have a linux user group. So why not a PHP user group?
I am certain all hardcore developers and newbies will find such a thing very useful. We can help each other out. help out the new comers and promote php in the country.
So What say you?
I have had this e-book, Programming Ruby(The Pragmatic Programmers Guide) for quite sometime now. The eventual purpose bieng, to read it and familiarize my self with another programming language. Anyway an year had passed, i never did open that book. The book is now in its second edition.
Then last week, i was going throught some ajax tutorials on Max Kiesler’s Blog.I came up with alot of material about rails and it convinced me to check it out. So at first i googled Ruby. Its currently ranked 12 in the TIOBE Programmin Index. I went to thier website, downloaded the 1-click installer. The Offical Website defines ruby as:
“A dynamic, open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and easy to write.”
I skimmed throught some tutorials on thier website about ruby. Once i had a general idea about ruby i decided to move on to rails. So i googled rails and went to thier Official Place on the Web . The site defines ruby on rails as:
“Ruby on Rails is an open-source web framework that’s optimized for programmer happiness and sustainable productivity. it lets you write beautiful code by favouring convention over configuration”
I would like to add to the intro, Ruby on rails strictly implements MVC ( models, views and controller) which i am relatively new to, and is in the process and studying.
The tutorials on the site proved very useful as a first step. Namely, Rolling with Ruby on Rails: Part I, Part II. Another great helper was Amy Hoy ((25)slash7), The blog have alot of entries about ruby on rails that i found of great value. Anyway, these ware enough for me to get ahead start with rails. And believe it or not i was building database CRUD web applications with the rails framework in just one day. And hence the CRUSH!!
I have now aquired the book “Agile Web development with Rails”. . I just started on the book, and will post more on ruby and rails as i learn. And it remains to be seen weather the crush will lead to an undying love.
